Siderise Accreditation Success with ISO 45001

  • 2 Jun 2023

Siderise Special Products has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to excellence in occupational health and safety, achieving certification under the globally recognised ISO 45001:2018 for its primary production site in Suffolk.

ISO 45001:2018 is the leading international benchmark for occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems, developed to support and recognise organisations that are serious about improving employee safety, reducing workplace risks and creating better, safer working conditions.

It enables organisations to proactively improve occupational health and safety management and provides reassurance to employees and customers that workplace safety is a priority.

To achieve certification, the site underwent a rigorous, independent assessment covering a range of areas including risk assessment, emergency preparedness and staff training, confirming that it provides a safe and healthy working environment for staff and is committed to continually raising its practice.

Achievement of the ISO 45001 accreditation supports and further enhances Siderise’s management system, which is certified to ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environment).

In addition to demonstrating commitment to continual excellence and improvement of internal operations, the standard also contributes to a number of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Good Health and Wellbeing and Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Hugh Langley, Managing Director at Siderise Special Products, comments: “We’re delighted to have achieved certification to ISO 45001:2018. As a manufacturer, we are committed to creating a safer built environment through our products and services and extend that same focus to our own practice. This certification is testament to the hard work and commitment of staff across our organisation.”
