Apprenticeship scheme provides opportunities for budding engineers

  • 12 Mar 2015

Apprentices William Stow, Becky Critchley and Joseph Clarke were involved in Mitsubishi Electric’s National Apprenticeship Scheme last year

The National Apprenticeship Scheme offers two categories, covering Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Building Services Engineering Technology and Project Management.

17 of Mitsubishi Electric’s air conditioning partners are involved in the scheme.

Many of these organisations are prepared to take on more apprentices after the successes they experienced last year.

The scheme aims to provide on site experience by offering apprentices the opportunity to learn from existing engineers.

It combines paid work with college work; in an educational environment, the apprentices are taught theories and provided with information that they can apply on site.

The programme is available for anyone with sufficient qualifications over the age of 16. It is also recommended that candidates possess an aptitude for technical subjects.
