Worksop Galvanizing, part of Wedge Group Galvanizing, was contracted to galvanise the steelwork used to produce three stands for the football club, including the main stand with restaurant and bar, as well as two smaller stands for supporters.
James Killelea & Co Ltd were involved in the construction of all three stands at the ground, and Worksop’s galvanising finish will reduce the need for further maintenance as the stands are exposed to bad weather.
The developments at the football ground cost £5.8 million and the work marks a period of great expansion at the club, which has grown rapidly since its launch in 2005.
Wedge Group Galvanizing is the largest hot-dip galvanising company in the UK with 14 plants based around the country.
