Weather resistant paint from Sandtex Trade

Weather resistant paint specified for Cumbrian refurbishment project

  • 9 Nov 2015

Sandtex Trade’s 365 All Weather Masonry weather resistant paint has been used to refurbish 276 properties in the middle of the Cumbrian winter.

Based in Cumbira, Kirkbarrow Estate has been refurbished as part of a £38 million investment programme across South Lakes Housing Association’s housing stock.

The refurbishment began in November 2014; works have included wall tile replacement, patch render repairs and full render paintwork.

Sandtex Trade 365 All Weather Masonry Paint was applied throughout winter, spring and summer to keep work on schedule.

Designed for use in adverse weather conditions, the paint incorporates Pilolite Resin, which allows refurbishment work to extend later into the UK’s traditional decorating season.

It can be applied at temperatures as low as -10ºC, allowing specifiers to apply the product outdoors later than expected. 20 minutes after application, Sandtex Trade 365 offers resistance to rain, making it suitable for use when there is a threat of showers.

Offering 15 years of proven durability, the paint has been certified by the British Board of Agrément. This offers specifiers the benefits of a reduced maintenance cycle.
