MCRMA produces new metal roofing and cladding guide

New checklist advises on metal roofing and cladding system specification

  • 18 Nov 2015

The Metal Cladding and Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) has created an inspection checklist for metal roofing and cladding systems, which are used on commercial, warehouse and industrial buildings.

Designed for use by professionals such as architects, engineers, main contractors and local authority building inspectors, the checklist advises on the specification, procurement and installation of metal roofing and cladding systems and assemblies.

It has been compiled to help ensure that the building envelope fulfils the appropriate Building Regulations and industry standards. At 10 pages long, it covers compliance at the design, specification, on-site construction and completion stages of the project.

Reliable metal roofing and cladding solutions

When used alongside appropriate checks and recording conformance at each stage of the build process, the checklist can assist in achieving compliance with a reduction in errors.

In turn, this will lead to the successful creation of a sustainable and durable building envelope.
