FAKRO low profile roof windows provide enhanced aesthetic to Lambert House

  • 22 Jan 2016

All Saints Living has specified 46 FAKRO roof windows in the redevelopment of Lambert House and Country Estate in Falkirk. The roof windows have been used to convert the property’s former stables in conservation style.

The project will ultimately include the full restoration and conversion of the derelict Category B-listed mansion.

All Saints Living used top hung and pivot FAKRO FPP-V/C U3 windows with ELJ/C flashings to achieve a low installation within the natural slate roofline. This will hopefully enhance the visual aesthetic of the Georgian buildings which were built using traditional sandstone.

To mirror the existing stable, the new build sections will comprise of a mews block

The new build sections of the premises will feature a mews block to mirror the existing stable, in addition to eight detached homes within the walled garden, seven homes to the west of the site and four to the east.

Thanks to a cleverly designed switch in the roof window’s frame, home owners will be able to open the windows in either centre pivot or top hung mode.

Though in conservation style – with a vertical mullion bar and dark grey outer cladding – the windows offer semi-automatic vents and topSafe sash and frame reinforcement.
