FAKRO's extensive range of roof windows, roofing accessories and loft ladders is sold nationwide via a network of merchants and distributors, and through the website roofwindows4you.co.uk. Distribution is from a purpose-built, 33,000 sq.ft. high bay warehouse in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.

The roof window range includes natural pine, white PU-coated pine and PVC products, the latter being available with white, pine and oak veneer finishes. All are also routinely manufactured in conservation style or to meet bespoke, project-specific design requirements. As a result, the company has the largest range of conservation roof windows available as standard products.

FAKRO’s continuing innovation has led to industry-leading developments such as the quadruple-glazed FTT U8 roof window. This has an unbeatable U-value in a standard product of 0.58W/m2K, thereby surpassing Passivhaus and EnerPHit requirements. The topSafe® system of hinge and lock reinforcement provides a high standard of security and safety of Class 3 - EN13049. All pine roof windows are also equipped with an automatic vent which is activated by atmospheric pressure to ensure that the optimum balance of fresh air is maintained without unnecessary heat loss. For energy-efficiency they can also be supplied vent-free.

The popular FTP-V Centre Pivot roof window was the first to achieve BBA certification, and products such as the FTT U6 triple-glazed, FPP preSelect® and equivalent windows in conservation style are also certified. A high and growing proportion of timber used to manufacture FAKRO roof windows also has FSC chain of custody certification for the sustainability of its source.

A universal installation system makes it possible to install windows on rafters or battens from within the roof space at varying depths to suit the tile profile. Importantly, this ensures that conservation windows can be installed low within the roofline to suit natural or man-made slates.

Aside from its extensive range of roof windows, FAKRO also has a comprehensive selection of pine and fire-rated metal loft ladders, including the unique LWK Komfort which can accommodate hatches of non-standard size. The company also supplies accessories such as internal and external blinds, awnings, linings, underlays, flashings, light tunnels, access windows and solar thermal panels which can be used in combination with roof windows of the same size.
