Aggregate Industries has procured a new fleet of mechanical offload (MOL) trailers and EN-XL curtainsliders from its haulage partner, Eddie Stobart

Eddie Stobart invested in the new equipment to improve logistics and safety standards at Aggregate Industries, in advance of starting a new contract with the company’s Concrete Products division.

As Aggregate’s haulage partner, Eddie Stobart was able to deliver a varied range of equipment to heighten the company’s on-site off-loading and delivery services. The vehicles will also make it safer for Aggregate’s drivers to do their jobs.

The new MOL trailers feature an Atlas 92.2-A1 roller demountable crane; controlled from the vehicle or the ground, the crane allows operators to select the safest and most efficient offload option. It is fitted with a positive rear steer and front axle lift, which increases both manoeuvrability and carrying capacity.

The EN-XL rated curtainsliders feature a similar securing system to enhance safety and decrease loading and unloading times.

The new vehicles boast comprehensive compliance with the FORS & CLOCS standards, which recommend the installation of additional mirrors, cameras, signage and audio warning systems to improve efficiency and ensure the safety of site operators and road users alike.

Eddie Stobart has also introduced specialist training to ensure that the team are safety-conscious and fully prepared to use the new equipment.
