EX-A adhesive membrane forms roof for Joy Global expansion

  • 21 Oct 2016

The Protan EX-A single ply membrane has been adhered to the roof of Joy Global’s new £10 million production and testing facility at Logistics North near Bolton.

Designed by APL Architects and Healy Consulting, the 25,000m2 facility will provide 4,000m2 of manufacturing space and 3,500m2 of office accommodation.

Joy Globals purpose-designed new premises also features 2,300m2 of Protan’s fleece-backed EX-A membrane. The polyester reinforced PVC membrane features an anti-slip surface, providing additional safety if being installed in wet weather.

It is the only system available from Protan that uses adhesives, and is certified to <-30°C and proven in practice to last 30+ years.
