Sontay extends Smart Communications Sensors range

  • 20 Dec 2016

Sontay has developed its range of Smart Communications Sensors to offer more choice to consultants, contractors and system integrators. Its ‘Build-your-own’ sensor can be customised to meet a customer’s specific budget and requirements.

Sontay’s Smart Communication Sensors can measure a range of variables: fan speed, CO2 levels, temperature and relative humidity can all be assessed, subject to the model that has been built.

All sensors can communicate via the BACnet MS/TP or ModBus RT protocols. Multiple measurements can be taken over a two-wire data bus.

With the proficiency to detect auto baud rates, the sensors are ideal for comprehensive environmental sensing.

The range also includes a touchscreen thermostat, dubbed the ST-TOUCH. Offering ambient temperature control, the sensor has been designed to maximise energy efficiency in commercial and residential applications. The slim-line product can be flush or surface mounted.

Next year, Sontay will be releasing a Smart Power and Energy Meter, designed to allow users to monitor and manage their energy usage, whilst transmitting data via Modbus RTU or BACnet MS/TP.

Sontay’s website features downloadable datasheets with installation requirements, and a wealth of information about its Smart Communications Sensors and specification. In addition, the company offers a three-year product warranty.
