A new selection of 3-inch handmade bricks have been launched by Imperial Bricks.
Available in a rustic red shade in three different textures, the 3-inch bricks are typical of what is commonly found in the North and Midlands. The bricks are ideal for historic buildings that require renovation, as well as new builds looking to create a more traditional aesthetic.
Three brick types are available: the 3” Facing brick, for a neater, finely textured surface used on front façades; and the 3” Handmade and 3” Reclamation Handmade (heavily weathered) bricks for a coarser, textured look. All three bricks are fully frost-resistant, with an F2 rating.
Imperial also provides a tailored brick weathering service for the refurbishment of properties that are listed or in conservation areas that must adhere to strict planning rules.
The service means that specifiers can match existing period brickwork exactly so any restoration work blends in seamlessly.
Jason Hughes, Managing Director of Imperial commented: “The regional variations in bricks can be seen across the country – from London yellows and rich oranges in the Midlands to deep blues in the North.
Our vast range of 35 bricks means we are able to precisely match the regional clay and local architecture, with less wastage than reclaimed bricks.”
