New webinar to focus on sustainability in brick manufacturing

  • 20 Feb 2017

Lucideon has announced a new webinar focusing on sustainability within the brick manufacturing industry.

‘Alternative Uses for Bricks in Structural Work: Moving Beyond Thin Brick’ will take place on 16th March 2017 and will be hosted by Dr Geoff Edgell, director and principal construction consultant at Lucideon.

Dr Edgell commented: “The brick manufacturing industry is of great importance to construction as a whole, but the use of bricks has become fairly standard and limited. In the US at present, the focus is on supplying thin brick to act as a veneer to buildings.”

The webinar will discuss how brick applications can be diversified and broadened in order to ensure the sustainability of the brick manufacturing industry, drawing on examples of research performed in the 1980’s and applications more common in the UK.

Register for ‘Alternative Uses for Bricks in Structural Work: Moving Beyond Thin Brick’ on the Lucideon website. The webinar will take place at the 16th March 2017 at 10am (EST)/3pm (GMT).
