In December 2016, the one millionth tonne of material manufactured at the staff and management of Aggregate Industries’ Asphalt Plant was dispatched from the site.

Laid near Junction 12 of the M4 motorway, the site opened in May 2014, the newest of all of Aggregate Industries’ asphalt operations across the UK.

Being situated close to the junction of the M4 and M25 allows the company unparalleled access to West London and the surrounding area. In addition, BBC’s Today Programme recently featured the site for its market leading energy management.

To have reached such a milestone in such a short time after opening the gates is a huge achievement, and testament to the hard work at Heathrow, Managing Director Chris Hudson said at the celebration congratulating the staff and management of the site.

Site Manager, John Smith, added that the company is pleased to have reached this point int he lift of the site and the company is proud of the products and services it provides and can’t wait to get to two million in the near future.
