Bull-ievable advice to protect your workforce from accidents

  • 21 Feb 2018

Bradley Markham, director at Bull Products, shares the top three products to protect your workforce to the highest degree, with accidents on site still being a common occurrence.

This comes as research shows more than 64,000 injuries reported in the construction industry throughout 2016/17, 49% of these being falls from height and 24% either slips, trips or falls.

The opening products are first responder stations; having one on site gives a cost-effective solution, with no compromise to health and safety.

They are fully customisable to suit a company’s needs, whether it’s signage, emergency plans, a first aid or spill kit. Furthermore, the responder stations can be moved simply to guarantee a site is protected when and where it matters the most.

In terms of fall arrest, it is crucial for businesses to implement preventative measures to reduce the impact of falls from a height.

The fall arrest system is designed to cushion the fall and reduce the risk of injury to workers in the event of an accident.

And for signage, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states ‘all workplaces must have adequate safety signs to point people towards fire-fighting equipment, emergency routes and emergency exits’.

The correct signage will make workers aware of fire hazards and risks, allowing for swift response in case of an emergency.
