Aggregate Industries has recently supplied 22,000 tonnes of its type 1 sub-base aggregate to the newly developed Leicester Commercial Park.
The 40-acre industrial estate is currently being developed to offer two substantial distribution units of 335,000 sq ft and 95,500 sq ft in a prime location.
Aggregate Industries was specified to provide high-quality materials with 22,000 tonnes of type 1 sub-base aggregate utilised, as well as a further 5,000 tonnes of additional material.
The team at Aggregate worked hard to ensure that they were constantly on hand to deal with issues due to severe weather with the project located on a flood plain.
Stewart Regan, Sales Manager at Aggregate Industries, comments: “By working closely with Barton Plant from the outset, we were able to put a robust plan in place to ensure consistent supply despite extreme weather conditions throughout the winter months. As such, we are looking forward to continuing our supply of aggregates to Leicester Commercial Park development until its completion later this year.”
