The Encon Group, the UK’s No 1 independent distributor of building materials, opens its newest branch in North Shields, supplying customers in the region with total project solutions.
The new branch, Encon & Nevill Long North East, combines the company’s previous Newcastle and Washington branches into a larger site so customers can benefit from an extended range spanning all of Encon‘s specialist business units and areas. This includes building insulation and external facades, interior systems and finishes, technical insulation, construction products and passive fire protection.
The operational running of the branch will be overseen by Assistant Branch Manager Stephen Begg, supported by Brian Hibbert in the role of Business Unit Manager. The same experienced teams from Newcastle and Washington have moved to the new branch, retaining Encon’s specialist knowledge and support for customer projects across all market sectors.
The modern unit is located at a prime site on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate, a well-established commercial hub off the A19 near Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The site provides extensive warehouse and yard facilities, allowing for more products in stock, a larger sales office and a dedicated trade counter.
With top-of-the-range solutions from market-leading brands, a team of experts for total project support and enhanced service capabilities, including next day and just in time deliveries, Encon & Nevill Long North East is equipped to provide the outstanding support for which the business is known.
George Allison, Regional Director – North, comments: “By combining our specialist branches into one site, we can provide a comprehensive product and service offering to customers in the region, with all the solutions and support they need under one roof.
“The great facilities at Encon & Nevill Long North East, backed by the same expert team from Newcastle and Washington strengthens our position as ‘The Distributor of Choice’ and opportunities for future growth.”
