  • 4 Apr 2023

A new appointment to AliMet Fabrications sees its first husband and wife team at the company. Gemma Morris has taken up the role of Sales Co-ordinator – joining spouse Anthony, who is General Manager for Pressed Metals.

Gemma’s job involves status managing all live projects to ensure that orders are sent to production and dispatched within timeframes. This is alongside managing relationships with new and potential customers.

Although she is new to the industry, Gemma has many transferrable skills. She has previously worked in production and customer service roles, along with being a carer.

She and Anthony – who’ve been together for 19 years – live in Bridgnorth, Shropshire with their daughters, aged 17 and 14. They also have two cats, Topsy and Fifi, and a black labrador, Nala. Hobbies-wise, Gemma enjoys cookery and video games.

Gemma comments: “Anthony is really passionate about his work with AliMet Fabrications so I have heard a lot about the company over the past couple of years.

“As a relatively young company, it has a lot of potential and that’s what really attracted me to the role, as well as working with a good group of people, including my husband.”

She said she was really looking forward to ‘growing’ her job, which is a new role within the company, creating a great customer service experience and helping co-ordinate sales and operational activity.

Steve Marshall, Managing Director of AliMet Fabrications, welcomes Gemma to the team: “It is wonderful to have Gemma on board. She will no doubt become the ‘glue’ the company needs, as it continues to grow and develop key commercial partnerships.”
