Kestrel’s marathon drive for children’s hospices

  • 16 Jun 2021

Kestrel‘s Regional Sales Director for the North, John Gunn, is teeing off on a marathon (26 miles) sponsored golf challenge this month to support children’s hospices.

On June 20 – the longest day – John and 15 fellow ‘fools’ will be on the tee at The Carrick on Loch Lomond for sunrise at 5:30am sharp  eventually carting their clubs away at 11pm!

The sponsored golf marathon is raising funds for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).

CHAS offers palliative care, family respite and support for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

‘An incredible charity’

John comments: “It may sound like a bit of a jolly, but this is tough, and all 16 participants will be feeling the pain at the end of it and for a few days after.

“Whether a couple of quid or if you are lucky enough to be in the position to give a little more please do. It’s an incredible charity, providing vital support and after such an unprecedented year for health services, they need our support more than ever.”

Fundraising totals

Raising an impressive £1500 for CHAS at the time of writing, this is just £500 off their goal.
