Passivent, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of natural ventilation solutions, announce the appointment of Tony Kelly as Business Development Manager for Scotland, to work closely with architects, consultants and contractors to deliver tailored solutions with a focus on energy performance, air quality, and thermal comfort.
Tony has over thirty years’ experience working in the ventilation industry and has held various roles to develop his knowledge of ventilation systems, including both installation and sales.
Over the last three decades, he’s been involved with projects spanning almost every sector from domestic to industrial including factories, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities and schools.
He’ll use this practical and theoretical knowledge of ventilation to help architects and specifiers identify which type of natural or hybrid ventilation strategy, and associated products, would best suit the specific requirements of their project.
Working closely with Passivent’s architectural and specification customers, Tony’s main role will be to smooth the process at every stage from project inception right through to completion.
He’ll be on hand to help with building specification and criteria on both new build and retrofit projects, providing assistance with airflow calculations as well as hosting CPDs to share knowledge on efficient and effective ventilation.
With the introduction of new regulations and the rising prominence of Passivhaus standard, it is not wise to understate the role ventilation systems play in terms of the energy efficiency rating and air quality of a building. By bolstering its team of ventilation experts, Passivent is able to work closely with customers to offer specialist advice to suit a broad range of projects.
Commenting on his new role, Tony comments: “I’m genuinely interested in ventilation systems of all types and the technology behind them as well as seeing how things work.
“I know architects are under increasing pressure to be experts on tens if not hundreds of products at any one time so I want to share my knowledge and expertise to come up with the most effective solutions which tick all the boxes for our architectural teams.
“I’m looking forward to getting to know customers in Scotland and playing my part in bringing a breath of fresh air to some really interesting projects in the coming months.”
