Messagemaker Displays has provided traffic management supplier Shift Traffic Events with a wide range of signage products for a number of projects across the UK.
The successful partnership continues due to the Messagemaker Displays’ extensive portfolio of signage solutions, as well as its steadfast commitment to customer relationships and service excellence.
Based in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, Shift Traffic Events delivers full-service traffic management solutions across all classes of road and to a range of industries.
To ensure the safety of road users and workforce during each project, Shift Traffic Events requires a reliable supply of versatile signage solutions to suit the needs of their varied customer base.
It was due to the launch of Messagemaker Displays’ Tower Unit that the two companies began working together. A robust yet portable solution, the Tower Unit was ideal for use in several of the urban areas that Shift Traffic was operating within at the time.
Crucially, the temporary traffic sign could be assembled on site and benefitted from a smaller footprint compared to alternative solutions, allowing multiple units to be transported by one vehicle.
In particular, Shift Traffic has supplied a number of Tower Units to Westfield Shopping Centre in White City, London. Prior to the pandemic they were utilised as information boards for road users providing guidance on the shopping centre’s traffic and parking.
More recently, Shift Traffic’s Tower Units and Mobile Variable Messaging Sign (VMS) Trailers, have been used by Derby Council, North Lincolnshire Council and ferry operator Stena Line at Holyhead Port. In these instances, they were used to display information regarding the COVID-19 restrictions and direct traffic to local inoculation centres.
Since then, Shift Traffic has incorporated further Mobile VMS Trailers and Vehicle Activated Speed (VAS) Signs on its sites. They have also received feedback from a number of customers that have expressed a preference for Messagemaker Displays’ products to be supplied for their project.
Chris Morley, Managing Director at Shift Traffic Events, comments: “The all-around service we have received from the Messagemaker Displays team has been excellent since our relationship began with them about 18 months ago.
“The company’s smaller footprint solutions have been ideal for use on several of our customers’ urban sites and the after sales support has been second to none. We look forward to working with Messagemaker Displays on more projects in the future.”
Steve Wright, Business Development Manager at Messagemaker Displays, comments: “Shift Traffic operates across many industries. Therefore, the availability of an extensive selection of signage units to facilitate its services is crucial.
“Our continued relationship with Shift Traffic is an excellent example of how Messagemaker Displays is able to help its customers do what they do best.”
