Danish sustainable acoustic solutions provider Troldtekt has opened a new, £21m state-of-the-art production facility in West Denmark, which will see it double its capacity of wood wool panelling per year.
Making use of the latest innovations and energy-efficient processes, the 13,000 square metre factory uses computer-controlled and robot technology to minimise its environmental impact across all aspects of the operation – from the wood-shaving plant to the fabrication and manufacture.
Sustainability has always formed the backbone of the company’s ethos and the business was founded on the precepts of Cradle to Cradle manufacturing and is certified to Silver Level.
This, coupled with Troldtekt’s strong CSR and Environmental requirements, ensures its suppliers also do their part. Troldtekt can supply FSC®-certified acoustic panels.
Troldtekt achieved FSC-certification in 2013, and since 2018 has been approved to supply products in the ‘FSC 100%’ category (FSC®C115450).
This guarantees that the wood used in the production of Troldtekt acoustic panels originates from responsible forestry operations and means that all the wood in a single panel complies with the FSC requirements.
Troldtekt panels are commonly specified throughout the UK and Europe to improve the interior acoustic environment.
They offer high sound absorption, high durability, natural breathability and low cost life cycle performance in addition to inherent sustainability.
