Benoy announces work on the iconic Silvertown area of East London.
The award-winning international firm of Architects, Masterplanners, Interior and Graphic Designers, has been appointed to the Silvertown development to help build up and drive further economic investment to this historic area that was once one of the most important trade centres of the British Empire including the iconic Millennium Mills, a former major flour mill.
Silvertown is planned to become once more a thriving economic centre, but now for new technology & creative industries – and a destination place to live, work and play.
Benoy is advising the Silvertown Partnership on the development of their Architectural Brand Strategy; a crucial component in generating the high level of commercial interest for which this major venture is aiming to attract.
Working alongside the developer, Benoy is devising a plan which will encourage globally celebrated brands to an enterprising and exciting environment, uniting civic, cultural and commercial components.
David Ellis, Director and London Studio Head at Benoy: Schemes such as this are truly multi-functional. With our role as an advisor, we can see the full raft of opportunities available and guide our client on how best to infuse their personality and character into the development.
Tom Cartledge, Global Operations Director at Benoy: This new business offer allows Benoy to use its expertise in even more creative and beneficial ways because in addition to delivering award-winning architecture, we are now able to operate in an advisory capacity, providing unique intelligence and insight. Projects such as Silvertown are the next generation of design and here at Benoy we understand the future of Retail, Mixed-Use, Leisure and Luxury developments. We have an extensive portfolio of design-led and highly successful schemes, proof of the Teams ability to combine its real passion for creativity with its very clear commercial expertise.
