Kingspan Industrial Insulation is showcasing its involvement in the industry-wide advancement of Building Information Modelling (BIM) by launching free BIM objects.
The Kingspan KoolDuct System, Kingspan Kooltherm FM Duct Insulation and Kingspan Therma Duct Insulation will all benefit from these objects and are all available for download from www.bimstore.co.uk
The new items are BIM Level 2 compliant; the mandatory BIM standard for all public-sector buildings and are compatible with the popular Revit format and feature a wealth of detailed product information.
This allows project teams to make knowledgable specification decisions that are based on accurate performance data. The easy to use objects can be simply added as the insulation layer on top of generic ductwork objects within Revit.
The three aforementioned Kingspan products are suitable for use on ductwork and associated products with an operating temperature range of –20°C to 80°C. They can provide a slim insulation solution and allow for more installation space.
Manufactured at Kingspan Insulation’s Pembridge site, the products are certified ‘Excellent’ under the stringent responsible sourcing standard BES 6001.
Ductwork fabricated from The Kingspan KoolDuct System can lower rates of air leakage to a much lower level compared to those typical of rectangular sheet metal ductwork.
Kingspan Kooltherm FM Duct Insulation and Therma Duct Insulation offer ductwork solutions for both indoor and outdoor applications.
A package of products from Alumasc Water Management Solutions (AWMS) has been used for the external refurbishment of the roofline at Weston General Hospital in Weston-Super-Mare.
