Wienerberger has announced the launch of its unique AluGrip-Roll, which has been developed as an alternative to standard cloth ridge rolls used by roofers in the UK.
The AluGrip-Roll is manufactured from aluminium to provide an easier-to-use, faster-to-install solution which is more durable than its cloth counterparts.
Developed exclusively by Wienerberger, the AluGrip-Roll is compatible with any roof tiles, including those from the Sandtoft range, and offers greater ventilation than standard cloth ridge rolls.
In addition, the product comes vacuum-sealed to ensure that the glue is kept in top condition and is guaranteed for a lifespan of at least 30 years – 20 years longer than the average lifespan of traditional cloth ridge rolls.
Richard Bishop, Category Marketing Manager for Roof at Wienerberger, said that he was ‘delighted’ with the product, saying that “it clearly showcases Wienerberger’s commitment to innovation and product development.”
He continued: “This new-to-the-market and completely unique system is a vast improvement on standard cloth ridge rolls. In a nutshell, roofers will have all the benefits of quicker and easier installation and durability without having to worry about any cost increases.”
“In addition to the already considerable list of benefits, AluGrip-Roll will also replace the cloth ridge rolls found in the Sandtoft Multiversal Kit without impacting on the price – in short it’s a far superior product for the exact same price.”
Mitsubishi Electric will host a CIBSE Journal webinar on Wednesday 24th April 2024 at 1pm to discuss the legislation and initiatives driving changes in the way we will need to heat, cool and ventilate large commercial buildings to reach net zero emissions in the UK.
