Mitsubishi introduces fast heating radiator with low running costs

  • 22 Nov 2017

Mitsubishi Electric has introduced a new fan-assisted radiator, featuring a faster heat up time and lower running costs than the equivalent output double panel, double convector radiator.

The i-LIFE 2Slim is available in 1kW and 2kW models and offers a high heat output from 50 per cent less wall space (based on 45ºC flow). Paired with a renewable heating system such as an Ecodan heat pump, and choosing lower design temperatures, the i-LIFE 2Slim can also potentially increases the payments homeowners can receive from the Renewable Heat Incentive.

The 1kW model is suitable for almost any interior at just13cm deep, 737mm wide and 579mm high. The radiator is also lighter than most, as it uses copper and aluminium and holds about 10 per cent of the water required for a traditional low temperature steel radiator – reducing heat up time.

In addition, cool air is drawn into the unit by the internal modulating fans which then helps transfer heat from the water supply to the internal heat exchangers and also offer full control of the heated air gently blown around the room.
